About

Born in Zimbabwe in 1968, Sarah Arnett moved to England at the age of eight, where she grew up in the vibrant coastal city of Brighton. Her journey into the world of art and design began with her studies in textiles, a foundation that has deeply informed her diverse career. Early on, Sarah's talent was recognised when she won the prestigious Texprint Award, which led to an opportunity to exhibit her work in London. This success opened doors to her first job in Bangalore, India – a pivotal moment that would influence her artistic vision.
Sarah's work is profoundly shaped by her experiences of growing up in two contrasting places – Zimbabwe and the UK – which heightened her awareness of change, contrast and the beauty in differences. Her travels have undoubtedly left a mark, but it's the interplay between the old and new, the familiar and unfamiliar, that serves as her primary inspiration. Nature plays a central role in Sarah's art, but she approaches it with a unique twist, altering colours and incorporating a surreal edge that defies traditional boundaries.
While her career has largely focused on fashion, textiles and interiors, Sarah is known for her versatility, embracing various mediums and projects from installations to collaborations and consulting.
ALWAYS INSPIRED BY PROCESS AND CONSTANTLY LEARNING, SARAH ARNETT CONTINUES TO PUSH THE LIMITS OF HER ARTISTIC PRACTICE, EXPLORING NEW WAYS TO BRING HER VISIONS TO LIFE.
